Matters for notification upon acquisition of personal information

Handling of personal information on inquiries form

  • Appropriate protection of personal information and personal information protection manager
    The Company has taken protective measures to manage the personal information of customers properly and safely, and to prevent leakage, destruction, loss, or damage of personal information by appointing the following person as personal information protection manager.

  • Purpose of use of personal information
    The Company shall use the personal information of customers within the scope of proper business execution for handling of various inquiries. Whether or not to provide personal information of customers themselves shall be at the judgment of the customer, however, customers must understand in advance that the Company may be incapable of providing proper services if personal information is not provided.
  • Provision of personal information to third parties
    The Company will not provide personal information of the customer to any third party without the prior consent of the relevant customer, unless such provision is:
    (1) under the laws and regulations;
    (2) necessary for the protection of life, body, or assets of a person and besides it is difficult to obtain the consent of the relevant customer;
    (3) especially necessary for the improvement of public health or promotion of sound development of children, and besides it is difficult to obtain the consent of the relevant customer;
    (4) necessary, due to a necessity to cooperate in the execution of affairs provided under the laws and regulations by government agencies, or local public bodies, or parties delegated thereby, and there is a likelihood of disrupting the execution of the relevant affairs if the consent of the relevant customer is obtained.
  • Outsourcing of handling operations of personal information
    All or part of handling operations of personal information may be outsourced to an external party. In such instance, the Company shall stringently select the outsourcee subject to development and execution thereby of a management system for proper management of personal information, execute a nondisclosure agreement with the outsourcee, and thus cause the outsourcee to manage the personal information of customers strictly.
  • Acceptance of requests from customers for suspension of use or deletion, etc. of personal information
    The customer may make requests to the Personal Information Inquiries Desk of the Company regarding disclosure, etc. (notification of purpose of use; disclosure; correction, addition to, or deletion of content; suspension of use; deletion; or suspension of provision to third parties) of his/her own personal information. In such instance, the Company shall handle such requests within a reasonable period after identifying the customer. The Personal Information Inquiries Desk of the Company is as follows:
