  • Yosuke OTONARIPresident and CEO

    He founded Howtelevision, Inc. in 2010.
    He began his career as an Investment Banker at Barclays Capital Japan Ltd. where he was responsible for bond issuances for corporations and financial institutions. Later, he moved to Advantage Partners Inc., a private equity firm, where he was responsible for buyout investments, minority investments, and management consulting to both private and public companies.
    He holds a BSc degree in Agriculture from the University of Tokyo.

  • Kotaro SASAKIDirector and COO

    He joined Howtelevision, Inc. in July 2017. He was appointed to a Director in April 2019, after served as an Executive Officer and the Head of Liiga business, Head of Product, and Head of GaishiShukatsu.com business.
    Prior to joining Howtelevision, Inc., he worked for Recruit Co., Ltd. from 2006 to 2017. In Recruit Co., Ltd, he served to B-to-B product planning, development direction, planning of medium/long-term strategy for Jalan, Hot Pepper Gourmet, and Hot Pepper Beauty; Project leader for the initial development of SALON BOARD, a beauty salon management system. He also launched a project called AirREGI with five colleagues, a point-of-sale (POS) app, where he was in charge of organizational management and product management. He laid the foundation for this app to become the most widely used POS app among merchants in Japan.
    He holds a MEng and BEng degree in Information Networks from Waseda University.

  • Shintaro SHIMIZUDirector and CFO

    He joined Howtelevision, Inc. in 2020. He was appointed to Director and CFO in April 2021. He experienced various positions in the firm such as Head of Corporate Division, Head of Treasury and Finance, and Head of the President’s Office as an Executive Officer.
    Prior to that, he was an Investor Relations Manager at Ardian Japan Ltd. from 2018 to 2020, where he was responsible for fundraising and relationship management of Japanese financial institutions and pension funds. He dealt with broad type of private assets such as direct buyout, secondary funds, private debt, infrastructure, and real estate.
    From 2013 to 2018, he worked for PIMCO Japan Ltd., where he was in charge of account management, experienced emerging market bonds and currencies, various credit strategies, and absolute return strategies.
    From 2011 to 2013, he was an Investment Banker at UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., where he was responsible for origination and syndication of equity-related solutions such as IPO, follow-on, sell-down, block trade , warrants, convertible bonds, debt-restructuring and etc.
    He was a portfolio manager and research analyst for Japanese Fundamental Equities at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, from 2005 to 2011.
    He holds BA in Law from Sophia University.

  • Atsushi AKAIKEOutside Director

    He joined Howtelevision, Inc. in May 2017 as an Outside Director.
    He is a Partner and head of Japan for CVC Capital Partners. Prior to joining CVC, he was a Senior Partner at Advantage Partners. Before that, he worked for Japan office of McKinsey & Company, where he was responsible for consulting of reworking management strategy and new business development for clients in the semiconductor, chemicals, and electronics industries. He started his career in the US office of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
    He holds a DPhil in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and MSc and BEng degrees in Earth Systems from the University of Tokyo.

  • Atsushi IKEUCHIExecutive Officer and CRO

    He joined Howtelevision, Inc. in February 2019. He was appointed to an Executive Officer and Chief Revenue Officer in March 2021.
    He concurrently serves as a General Manager of Business Development department, which is responsible for BizDev activities of both GaishiShukatsu.com and Liiga. He also serves as a General Manager of Brand Management Department, which manages editorials.
    He experienced service renewal of Liiga business, and he was promoted to a Manager of Liiga Business Development department in August 2019.
    Prior to that, he worked for three venture companies including Speee, Inc., and he was a manager involved in organizational expansion and human resource development.
    He holds a BA degree in the Faculty of Business Administration, Yokohama National University.
